Outreach Committee – Youth Representative
The Aurora Cultural Centre invites your expression of interest to join the Outreach Committee. Use and expand your skillset to raise awareness of the Centre’s programs at a wide variety of events in the community and at home in Aurora Town Square. If you have an interest in event coordination and marketing, public relations and sales, this is a great opportunity to get involved to support the arts.
The commitment includes:
- Monthly attendance at the Outreach Committee Meeting; in-person, and typically from 5 – 6 pm on a weeknight.
- Participation in awareness-raising information tables/booth at local community events, including; the Aurora Home Show, Aurora Street Festival, area Farmer’s Markets, the Aurora Christmas Market, as well as gallery openings, “YAR” (Youth Artists on the Rise youth gallery program), concerts and special events at the Centre.
What makes a great Outreach Volunteer?
- Happy to approach and talk with members of the public
- Likes working in a team environment
- Open to sharing your ideas for on deepening the connection with youth in the community and the Centre’s variety of programs.
