Shifting Realities: Adventures in Portraiture is imagined by award-winning artists, Eva Folks and Judy Sherman.
Presented as a double-solo exhibition, the show highlights their shared flair for humour and character-building through paint; Folks in acrylic, Sherman in oil. Blending realism with a touch of surrealism, their new works invite viewers down the rabbit hole into their two boldly inventive and unfettered artistic minds.
This exhibition is displayed in the Homeroom Galleries, celebrated with an Opening Gala on October 30 from 6-8pm. All are welcome to attend, and costumed attire encouraged! Refreshments provided, and remarks commence at 6:30pm.

New Years Art Jamboree!
Friday, January 2, 11am-1pm. Start your new year artsy with Eva Folks and Judy Sherman through an interactive workshop in Homeroom Galleries, right next to their paintings on view. Attendance is first come, first serve, with materials provided. All ages welcome.
Gallery Yoga and Sound Baths
Align your mind surrounded by art through a yoga and sound bath session by Meghan and Dana. Sessions are $18+HST per registrant and tickets may be purchased on our Shopify (click here!). Each session is bring your own yoga mat.

About the Artists
Eva Folks (@evafolks)
Eva Folks was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She has always had an affinity for art, learning her skills through experimentation and a great deal of practice. Having spent many years working as a CNC Programmer and CAD Operator, she realized the need for creativity in her life and returned to art part-time, painting faux finishes and murals.
In 2011, Eva turned her full attention to her art. Since then, she has won awards for her work, participated in numerous juried shows and exhibitions, volunteered on art show and tour committees as well as jurying shows for various art groups in the Greater Toronto Area and York Region. She has clients in Canada, the United States, South America, Great Britain, Australia, and Hungary.
Eva currently works from her home studio in Aurora, Ontario, where she continues to create art and learn by exploring different mediums and techniques.
Judy Sherman (@judyshermanartist)
After graduating from Humber College and enjoying a successful career in graphic design, Judy Sherman travelled to Florence, Italy to study classical painting and in 2006 received an Ontario Arts Council Emerging Artist Grant. She was interviewed for a Rogers TV series, Colour and Vision – Portraits in Art, was published in American Art Collector Magazine and has appeared on City Line, City TV with Marilyn Dennis. Judy has juried shows, conducted workshops, has been teaching privately for over 15yrs and is presently teaching classes for the McMichael Art Gallery. She has won awards, is represented in galleries and has paintings in corporate and private collections worldwide.
