Saturday, April 4

In this beginner’s workshop students will be introduced to basic relief printmaking techniques by carving an image of their choice into a soft rubber-like block that they will then ink up and hand print onto traditional Western and Japanese papers. This artform creates bold graphic images with expressive lines. Students will leave this class with original prints of the image they created plus a frame in which to display their piece. All tools and materials provided upon payment of a materials fee. Bring a bagged lunch as well as sketches, drawings, or photographs for inspiration.

$20 Materials Fee payable to instructor at class.
