Location: Aurora Family Leisure Complex, Program Room B, 135 Industrial Parkway North

This watercolour class (for participants aged 55+) welcomes new students and those with limited previous experience with watercolours. Learn essential watercolour techniques such as washes and dry brushing, colour mixing, and how to plan a watercolour project from start to finish. Some drawings will be incorporated into the project preparation.

Courses tailored for adults 55+ encourage discovery, creativity and social connection in an environment that supports effective learning strategies for mature learners.

Meet Your Instructor

Instructor Karen Levert (B.A.) is a watercolour artist residing in York Region. She has been an instructor for the past eight years, including instruction through Newmarket School of Fine Art and the Aurora Seniors’ Centre. Karen has participated in many juried shows and has won awards for her watercolour entries. Karen is inspired by the transparency of watercolour and the magic of watercolour surprises.
