Calling all beginners and those who are looking to level up their doodling! Spend an evening learning the basics of drawing, including line, shape, form, space, and texture in a unique online instruction experience. Just bring a pencil, eraser, sharpener, black marker and paper – and leave with your sketchpad full of techniques to continue drawing! A PDF handout will be provided prior to the workshop.

Meet Your Instructor
Instructor Jan Dolby is an internationally published illustrator. After studying Fine Art at the University of Guelph, and a career in arts administration, she decided to follow her passion and start her illustration and design studio The Pink Suitcase. Jan has illustrated over 20 picture books and has been working her craft for over 15 years. She was born in St. John’s Newfoundland and now lives in Aurora with her family where she spends her days creating illustrations. Jan is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), Illustrators for Hire and the Canadian Children’s Book Centre.
