Experience the fun of experimenting with mixed media, a method of creating artworks by combining multiple different materials. In this beginner workshop taught by esteemed artist-instructor Vicky Talwar, you will learn how to blend techniques using acrylic mediums and textural surfaces to create a bold and expressive piece, inspired by the instructor’s style. This workshop is perfect for beginners as well as those with some previous painting experience. Registration fee includes all tools and materials, while students are encouraged to bring their own art supplies to supplement.
Meet Your Instructor
Instructor Vicky Talwar is an interdisciplinary artist who draws upon her personal experience as a Hindu-Canadian to produce painting, mixed media, and installation artworks. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, including Toronto, Los Angeles, New York, and the United Kingdom. Vicky holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Ontario College of Art and Design, a Bachelor of Education from York University, and a Master of Fine Arts in Art, Media & Design at the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCADU). Vicky Talwar’s recently exhibited at the Latcham Art Centre, which also served as her Interdisciplinary Master’s in Art, Media & Design thesis exhibition with the Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCADU)
