Saturday, April 25*
Marvel at how light sparkles and bright colours beam through glass in this introductory sun catcher workshop. You will learn all of the basics of this unique artform, including how to safely cut, grind, foil, solder, patina and polish to create your own striking 5-6 piece sun catcher. Each student will choose a design from a number of templates, such as a bird or a flower, while exploring the unique properties of glass with its many textures and colours. All tools and materials provided upon payment of Materials Fee to instructor at workshop. Bring a bagged lunch.
This workshop is not recommended for women who are pregnant or nursing. Safety glasses and gloves will be provided. All shoes must be closed toed – no sandals please. You may bring a surgical mask if concerned with airborne particles, however this is not necessary; an apron is always a good idea.
$25.00 Materials Fee payable to instructor at class.
