In this introductory workshop on pointed pen calligraphy you will learn how to use the tools to produce beautiful writing. We will start with learning how to prepare and use a pointed pen. We will work with a straight holder in this workshop.
We will develop a script that takes advantage of the flexible pointed pen. By the end of the class you will be able to write the whole alphabet with a pointed pen. If time permits, we will introduce the fundamentals of more formal scripts and other variations.
This is a great workshop for beginners as well as brush calligraphers interested in pointed pen calligraphy.
All materials and tools supplied by the instructor for a $20.00 Materials Fee. Bring a bagged lunch.
