Aurora Town Hall, Second Floor (Upper/North Entrance)
Important entry information: Please be advised that parking and entrance for this event is through the Upper/North entrance of Aurora Town Hall, 100 John West Way, Aurora ON. Entrance through the Main floor is not permitted.
Join us in the gallery on Saturday, January 27 at 3 pm to celebrate the closing of our fall-winter exhibition, Perennial Darkness, through an Open Mic poetry event. Admission is free, and no RSVP is required. All are welcome.
Starting the Open Mic set, we welcome several poets from the Writer’s Community of York Region to share writings they have created in response to the exhibition on-view Perennial Darkness and the artworks within.
Following this, the mic will be opened to anyone else who would like to share their work aloud; be it a song, poems, short story, etc. Interested people do not need to perform work that is connected to the exhibition; all work is welcomed.
Interested in performing something in the Open Mic? Please email Samantha at Samantha@AuroraCulturalCentre.ca prior to January 26, 2024 to add your name to the roster (limited spots available).
