Meet Your Instructors
Instructor Kimberley Smith enjoys teaching painting to make a difference with people in her communities. She recognizes the need to safely bring people together during the pandemic. She is passionate about building connections and giving participants time to take their mind off things while they create a fun, memorable experience! Kimberley went to George Brown College of Applied Arts & Technology and has worked in many marketing and graphic design positions before building her own businesses, Young at Heart Painting and Kimberfly Design.
Guest instructor Jenna Shamata is a writer and comedy performer who grew up in Newmarket and is currently living in Toronto where she spends her days working on puzzles and tripping over her own feet. She currently teaches improv to kids and teens and works regularly as a nanny. She has also been an active volunteer with Camp Oochigeas for over 8 years and believes that humour and silliness is a very special and healing thing. Jenna is thrilled to be sharing her first children’s book The Accidental Mime! Just like her character Gigi, Jenna falls down a lot, but truly believes that the best things happen when you get back up!
