7:30 pm Show Start

Award-winning comedian Martha Chaves brings her “fierce, ferocious and effin’ funny female comic friends with their joy and insights” to celebrate International Women’s Day right here in Aurora! Joined by Courtney Gilmour (Canada’s Got Talent) and Brampton’s Zabrina Douglas to stage “Broad Appeal”, the show promises uncontrollable laughter and a night of brilliant comedic insights from some of Canada’s funniest women.

Martha Chaves is an award-winning Stand-Up comedian, actor, and comedy writer. Daryl Jung from Now Magazine called her “smart, sassy, provocative, and very funny.” Her infectious, candid style and natural ability to relate to a wide range of audiences make her a popular headliner at clubs, festivals, fundraisers, corporate functions, and keynote speaking engagements.

Martha’s television credits include multiple festival appearances including Just For Laughs, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and the We’re Funny That Way Festival, to mention a few. She has appeared in two national comedy specials, Something About Martha on CTV and the Comedy Network, and Comics! On the CBC. She’s currently the voice of Vero on Rosie’s Rules. Martha is often heard on CBC radio’s The Debaters and Laugh Out Loud and is a cast member of CBC’s Because News.
