Join-in Art Activities
Local Lepidopteras: Replicate the beautiful patterns on the wings of moths and butterflies to create vibrant 3D watercolor paintings.
Mask Making: Create a character mask using a variety of textiles, paper, cardboard and more. Lots of opportunity for personal expression – wear your creation as you enjoy the rest of the activities!
Papier-Bouquets: Using up-cycled materials and tissue paper, string, sticks and more, create a vibrant ‘flower’ to take home and plant in a houseplant, or bud vase.
Intro to Drum Circles and the Magic of the Djembe Drum with Glenn Marais
Come and experience drumming influenced by West African styles, taught in a welcoming style that is all about the connective power of music.
Each drum circle will last 30 minutes; 20 drums available. Join the drum circles at 11 am, 12 pm or 1 pm. *Drums available on a first-come, first-served basis.

– This event is open to all ages.
– These are messy and fun art activities – please dress accordingly!
– Our free drop-in art and music events are popular! Please be advised that it will be busy, and you may be required to wait a few minutes before joining in.
– Please help us ensure that as many people as possible can create today and free up your spots as soon as you’ve finished.
– Parents/Guardians must stay and play/create with their youngsters.
