Brighten up your space in this introductory stained glass ornament workshop. Learn all of the basics of this unique art form, including how to safely cut, grind, foil, solder, patina and polish to create your own striking glass art ornament that you can share with someone special (or keep for yourself!). Bring a bagged lunch.
This workshop is not recommended for those who are pregnant or nursing. Safety glasses and gloves will be provided. All shoes must be closed toed – no sandals please. Masks worn will prevent airborne particles; an apron is always a good idea. You may want to bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to sound, as the grinders can be noisy to some.

Meet Your Instructor
Instructor Siobhan Lynch is a self proclaimed “Glass Junkie” who has been making glass creations for over 18 years, primarily in the Hamilton/Burlington area. Siobhan has been teaching stained glass workshops since 2017 in both classrooms and festivals like Dundas Valley School of Art and Goderich Celtic Roots Festival. She enjoys the energy of the classroom teaching both adults and youth. In her studio in Burlington, Siobhan Lynch creates Stained Glass that reflects her innate understanding of the interplay between glass and light. A drive to capture this interactive and ever changing “dance” provides the driving force behind her designs. Prompted by her passion for these materials, she applies the discipline of the art form to deftly arrange elements of texture, colour, and pattern, to evoke individual moods and movement.
