Letters to the Earth: Between Despair and Hope

Opening Reception: June 3, 12 – 3 pm
Temporary Gallery Location: Aurora Town Hall, Second Floor

Please join us to celebrate the opening of Letters to the Earth: Between Despair and Hope; a group exhibition featuring 43 artists and their powerful artworks concerning the worldwide environmental crisis.  

The opening reception will be held on Saturday June 3 from 12 – 3 pm in our second-floor gallery at Aurora Town Hall; entrance is through the Upper/North doors only. All are welcome, light refreshments provided. The schedule for the opening reception is as follows:  

•  12:00 pm: Doors open (Upper/North entrance only).
•  12:30 pm: Land acknowledgement & traditional Indigenous opening ceremony lead by member of Georgina Island First Nation. Opening remarks to follow.
•  1:30 pm: Roots, a performance art piece by Cesar Forero. 

This exhibition will be on view from June 3 – August 23 at Aurora Town Hall, 2nd floor. The gallery is open Monday – Saturday from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. Please click here to view our gallery entrance instructions to fully plan your visit.
