Celebrate Mother’s Day with blend of creativity and cultural appreciation guided by Indigenous artist-educator Joy Rogers, as you learn to create a personalized beadwork masterpiece. This hands-on workshop provides a meaningful way to express love and gratitude through the timeless tradition of bead crafting, ensuring a memorable and heartfelt celebration. Join us for an impactful journey into Indigenous art, culminating in a special tribute to the mothers who inspire us all.

Materials provided by the instructor for $35 materials fee.

Meet Your Instructor

Joy Rogers is a member of Six Nations of the Grand River, Seneca with Haudenosaunee (Six Nations) and Chippewa (Beausoleil FN) ancestry on her maternal side. She began beading in early 2021 and has learned much of what she knows from her mother who was a beader while she was growing up. Her work is largely inspired by Mother Earth and all our relations.
