Develop the essentials of watercolour painting, including composition, brush work, and use of colour. Discover the distinctive qualities of this beautiful medium while exploring a variety of approaches and subject matter in this fun and encouraging group atmosphere. Previous experience required. Meet Your Instructor
Instructor Kathryn Christensen (B.F.A., Graphic Design) is a fine artist, illustrator, and designer who works predominantly in watercolour and acrylic. She is a member of the Society of York Region Artists (SOYRA). Her work has been exhibited at various venues including the University of Guelph, McMaster University Medical Centre, Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibit, Toronto City Hall, Aurora Cultural Centre and Aurora Town Hall. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of the creative process teaching watercolour and acrylic painting to students of all levels. Kathryn’s illustrations have been used on various consumer goods including houseware and stationery. She currently works as an illustrator and designer creating artwork for the textile industry.
