Opened in 1886, the Church Street School is considered one of the best examples of a high Victorian-designed public school in all of Ontario.

Begin your journey of discovery by meeting on the front lawn – every hour on the hour – for a tour into the Aurora Museum’s artifact vaults. While on the lawn, be sure to check out the latest renderings for the Library Square development.

Once inside the doors, visit the main gallery where you can play with clay!* Try your hand at pottery with a hand-building lesson from the Pine Tree Potters’ Guild, celebrating their 40th anniversary in the galleries with the exhibition View from the Pines. Finish your visit by ringing the old school bell! Open 10 am – 4 pm; offered at no charge.

*Play with Clay is offered from 10:30 am – 3:30 pm.

Part of a variety of events happening throughout Aurora today – plan your visit here.
