Meet Your Instructor
Instructor Jessie Chui is a self-taught paper floral artist. Her passion for paper flower making originated from her earliest memory of making paper flowers by hand. She distinctively recalls making a rose out of burnt orange twist paper at an after school program during her elementary school years. Fast forward 20 years later, she turned to floral paper art as her focus for her wedding centrepieces and bouquets. After her experience of creating beautiful centrepieces, bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres, she was hooked.
What began as a nostalgic return to her arts and craft days became a passion. Her work has been featured in WedLuxe Magazine and Holt Refrew’s Holiday Magazine, to name a few. She presented a few of her paper floral sculptures at The Freedom Factory, a gallery in Toronto, in a juried exhibition of 60 artists and won 2nd prize.
Presently, Jessie offers custom designed paper floral arrangements and teaches workshops, instructs private classes/lessons, and offers online courses.
