Support Arts Vitality In Our Community!
One building – and so many ways to participate. The Aurora Cultural Centre is a vibrant arts hub that offers children, youth and adults many opportunities to explore their creative side. From a full slate of arts education programs that allow you to pick up a guitar, paint brush or camera, to nurturing young artists and musicians through classes and camps that inspire, the Centre is a place to learn. With four galleries that feature an ever-revolving group of talented professional artists and artist groups, exhibitions stimulate conversation and discovery. For those who love live music, our roster of popular and rising professional Canadian talent, whether it’s pop, jazz, folk or indie rock, as well as our classical Great Artist Music Series, brings all of us together in Brevik Hall to share in an unforgettable musical experience. And for families looking to introduce their youngsters to the magic of live theatre, music and dance, the Centre brings in programming to excite, from toddlers to tweens.
This isn’t all we do. But it’s a snapshot of what happens every day at the Centre. Your gift nurtures arts vitality in our community. Thank you for considering a donation to the Aurora Cultural Centre.
Become an Arts Education Ally!
Kaleidoscope in the Schools (“KITS”) is a program offered by the Aurora Cultural Centre that brings professional performing arts into the schools for Grades Junior Kindergarten to Grade 4 students, free of charge, supported by the community. By performing in schools, the program supports the participation of all students, including those with exceptionalities who are often unable to access this kind of programming. The KITS program offers a curated season of four live performing arts productions throughout the year for schools to choose from that are uniquely tied to the Ontario Ministry of Education’s Elementary Curriculum.
Your gift ensures the continuation and expansion of this incredible initiative!
Join Us in Supporting the Fortissimo! Campaign
“In our touring years, Norbert and I were inspired by the variety of concert presenters in large and small centres across Canada. We were fortunate to experience their enthusiasm, energy and expertise in bringing classical music to their communities. These are the groups that play a huge role of the musical culture of our country. Norbert and I so admired their dedication to nurture music in their communities, that we resolved to help support these kinds of opportunities for musicians and concert-goers in our own community of Aurora.
From a vision of bringing world-class musicians to Aurora, to today’s reality that the Great Artist Music Series is considered among the most respected intimate-venue classical music concerts in the country, we are grateful to our faithful audience for making this dream possible. Please join us in supporting the Fortissimo! Classical Music Campaign, to grow classical music in our community.”
– Bonnie Kraft, Co-Artistic Director, Great Artist Music Series
