Special Full-Day Camps Opportunity During the Weeks of July 10 & 24, 2017

This summer, register your child for a full day of creativity in Library Square with a vibrant mix of pottery and art!

The Pine Tree Potters’ Guild and the Aurora Cultural Centre offer a unique opportunity during the weeks of July 10 & 24 to spend a full day in Library Square creating art and pottery.

  • What are the camps?

Pine Tree Potters’ Guild runs 2 weeks of Kids Clay Camp for children ages 8 – 13, during the weeks of July 10 and July 24. Clay Camps run from 9 am – 12 pm in the Guild’s studio located in the lower level of the Aurora Public Library.

The Aurora Cultural Centre runs 8 weeks of half-day camps for children. Mixed Media Mash-Up arts camp is for children ages 7 – 12, and runs from 1 – 4:30 pm daily.

  • When can I take advantage of this opportunity?

This full-day opportunity to attend both camps is uniquely offered during the weeks of July 10 and July 24.

  • What happens with my child over the lunch hour?

Children registered in the morning camp at the Guild (located next door in the bottom of the Aurora Public Library), and registered for the afternoon Mixed Media Mash-Up camp at the Aurora Cultural Centre (located at 22 Church Street) will be picked up and signed out by Centre summer camp staff for lunchtime supervision from 12 – 1 pm. The children will then enjoy their afternoon arts program at the Centre, and will be picked up there at 4:30 pm. Parents are asked to send sufficient snacks, lunch and refreshments that will get them through a busy day! Please note that all foods must be nut-free.

  • Is there a cost for this option on top of the camps registrations fees?

Yes, there is a small cost of $10 for the week to cover picking up the children from camp, and lunchtime supervision. This fee is payable to the Aurora Cultural Centre at time of registration, and is non-refundable.

  • How do I register for these camps?

You must register your child with both organizations to ensure your space.  Conditions and fees apply that are unique to each camp. Please note age ranges of each camp. Limited space available; register today to ensure your child’s space in both camps.
