From Frida Kahlo’s nature-filled backgrounds to David Hockney’s primary-coloured people, your young artist will explore a range of art techniques and styles in this class. Using a variety of materials and artistic expressions, students will look at famous portraits and landscapes done by artists from around the world while using acrylic paint, watercolours, pastels, clay, India ink and more! The class includes trips to the Centre’s onsite galleries to learn through interacting with the artwork in the current exhibitions. The session will end with an art show where students are invited to share their creativity and pieces with their families. All materials provided.
