Using a variety of materials, drawing styles, and artistic expressions, students will be looking at famous portraits and landscapes done by artists from around the world. Students will have the opportunity to work on self-portraits from both representational and abstract viewpoints. They will work with a variety of different mediums such as acrylic paint, watercolour, pastels, ink, charcoal, clay, paper mache, and collage. The class includes trips to the Centre’s onsite galleries to learn through interacting with the artwork in the current exhibitions. The session will end with an art show where students are invited to share their creativity and pieces with their families. All materials provided.
Class skips May 19 for Victoria Day Weekend
