In this class students will celebrate #Canada150 by learning about techniques and styles from artists in Canada, such as Kenojuak Ashevak, the Group of Seven, as well as more modern names such as Alex Colville. They will take inspiration from these talents as well as others to create their own unique pieces using a variety of tools and materials such as printmaking, watercolour, acrylic paint, ink, and pastels. Students will use techniques that include shape, texture, colour and line to explore their creativity while learning about Canadian art, culture, and heritage. Share your pieces online with #150andinspired ! All materials provided.
Class skips Saturday May 20th for the Long Weekend.
