Demolition Next Door at the Old Library & Seniors’ Centre:
Public Access Information
The Aurora Cultural Centre wishes to advise the public that the former library and seniors’ centre buildings located next door are fenced off to accommodate the demolition project that will take place during December 2017 and January 2018.
ACCESS TO THE CENTRE WILL NOT BE AFFECTED
The Centre will be open as usual during the demolition period. The elevator entrance at the north glass doors will continue to be available, as well as the south red doors. Should there be any temporary need to restrict access to the north doors, the south red doors will continue to be open to the public during regular business, gallery and rental hours.
Due to demolition site fencing requirements, the Centre will temporarily lose 6 parking spots in the east lot. Once this fencing is moved, these spots will once again be available. Guests are also welcome to park on the street.
Please check back here for updates, or follow the Centre’s Facebook page.
The former library and seniors’ centre buildings located next door will be demolished starting December 2017 and into January 2018. Access to the Aurora Cultural Centre will not be affected.
January 8, 2018: As you can see above, the demolition crew took down part of the old library as of late last week. The old Seniors’ Centre was demolished just before the Christmas holidays.
